In mid-2008 Alison offered to help us (GSP Rescue (SW)) in any way they could. And that really is the telling part - their flexibility and willingness to help in any way they can. Their knowledge of working dogs, and my own breed GSPs, in particular has made their help invaluable.
Last year Alison helped us with three dogs, all of them dogs with issues that made them harder to find new homes for, and the work she did was outstanding. The dogs all stayed with her for many weeks getting behavioral help and training, and then the icing on the cake was the time and care Alison took in introducing these two dogs to their prospective new families, and then the ongoing support given thereafter.
A further 3 dogs followed in the first part of this year - one of whom we had feared we would never be able to be rehabilitate sufficiently to rehome, but after Alison and Ian worked their magic, all 3 found new homes and are very happy.
Then 2 weeks ago, poor Alison and Ian really pulled out all the stops for us - initially agreeing to take at short notice three 7 month siblings who had never been socialised, and were fearful of everything in the outside world - what a relief when Alison said 'Yes' to my request. Then only days before the three were due to arrive, we were asked to find space for 2 further emergency dogs, and Alison again agreed to take them as well, so FIVE dogs were delivered to her on one day! With Alison and Ian's help, 2 weeks later and 3 of those dogs have now gone to their new homes, with the 4th due to move in a couple of days.
So what more can I say, but 'Thank you' to a very dedicated and knowledgeable couple, who make the often difficult task of finding new homes for the GSPs that come to us so much easier.http://www.gsprescuesw.freeforums.org/gsp-s-seeking-homes-f2.html
Alison and Ian run what can only be described as doggy heaven training camp. I picked my mum up and she cuddled the lovely Carol all the way from Wokingham to Weston which is near Hitchin. This lovely couple offered to foster little dogs we have but not only that to train them while they stay with them.
The wonderful Alison let my mum and I go in and watch Carol being greeted by their pack. What an education on how to get it so right. Carol who seems a lovely girl anyway got introduced one by one or two by two to different breeds, gender and energy level. She loved it. Each dog brought a different gift into the meeting. The one I loved the most was Foggy. He is a black labrador who has been trained by Alison and Ian to take hold of the trailing long lead of dogs they are training as they whistle so the dog soon learns it has no choice but to "recall" back to them. It was a joy to watch.
I cannot praise this couple enough - yes it was a long way to go but boy it was worth it.
We left Carol shattered from tearing around a field with about 6 other dogs. She was loving every minute of it.
To Alison and Ian a massive Thank You. I cannot believe what you do at your place and the gift you are offering us as a rescue. Carol has landed firmly on her feet and I know this experience will be so beneficial to her or any other dog that goes there.http://www.rescueremedies.co.uk

Our recommendation for Alison and Ian's services and facilities follow several happy and helpful stays for our pet Poly, a rescue border collie. After searching and visiting several kennels, we were overjoyed to find K9 Interaction. The philosophy to socialise the dogs, the spacious, secure and safe facilities, and their home care means that Poly has gone from a nervous and anxious dog to be more confident, and manageable. Alison's breadth of knowledge, understanding of dog behaviour and simple, straight forward advice is always spot on. We know that Poly loves going to stay at K9 as she hates the travelling in the car, but perks up within a mile of their facilities, happily recognises Alison and Ian and never seems to want to leave. We cannot recommend their services more highly. Sincerely, I&S and Polyphonic
" I can't recommend k9interaction and Alison too highly! Izzy wouldn't still be with me without Alison's training. Alison is so knowledgeable. Izzy goes to her once a week for training and stays with her when we are away. Izzy has a great time with all the other dogs she meets there. I never worry when I'm away as I know Izzy is having a fantastic time: great walks and friendly playmates. Izzy and I can't imagine life without Alison. "- GP

"Just wanted to say thanks again for looking after Red and Harry for us. They clearly loved being with you, and it made it so much more enjoyable not having to worry if our boys were OK. "- NB
"I never come away from a training session thinking that I didn't learn something or that was a waste of time - always so useful. "- JM

I was really happy with the care that you both showed Blue and Laya, and they obviously enjoyed their time with you. "- GV
